Nigerian Breweries Plc has joined forces with FATE Foundation to empower 1,000 Nigerian students under the Orange Corners Student Ambassadors Programme, an initiative supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The collaboration aims to encourage young people in tertiary institutions to explore entrepreneurship as a viable career path while building innovation and leadership skills.
The programme provides selected student ambassadors with networking opportunities, mentorship, and training to inspire their peers to pursue business ventures. Ambassadors are tasked with promoting entrepreneurial thinking within their institutions, helping to cultivate a culture of innovation among Nigeria’s youth.
As part of the partnership, Nigerian Breweries will extend support to an additional 1,000 students, while FATE Foundation will oversee programme execution, including student mobilization, coordination, and training delivery. The beneficiaries, aged 18 to 35, are drawn from tertiary institutions across Lagos, Ogun, and Enugu states.
Speaking on the initiative, Uzodinma Odenigbo, Corporate Affairs Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, said the programme aligns with the company’s long-standing commitment to youth empowerment. He highlighted that the company has positively impacted 2,365 young Nigerians across 24 states and the Federal Capital Territory through similar initiatives focused on entrepreneurship and skill development.
Adenike Adeyemi, Executive Director of FATE Foundation, described the partnership as a significant step to expand the reach of the Orange Corners Programme. She emphasized that FATE Foundation will manage training, registration, participation, and logistics to ensure the programme equips students with the skills and exposure necessary to build sustainable businesses and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth.
