Plaud, the hardware innovator known for its smart meeting devices, has introduced its latest AI-powered notetaking tools ahead of CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The new Plaud NotePin S brings a wearable pin-style design with a physical button to start, stop, and highlight recordings, making capturing important conversations effortless. Alongside it, Plaud has launched a desktop app designed to take notes across digital meetings automatically.

The NotePin S builds on the success of Plaud’s original pin-style notetaker launched in 2024. Priced at $179, it comes with multiple accessories, including a clip, lanyard, magnetic pin, and wristband, giving users flexibility in how they carry it. Apple Find My support has also been added, so losing the device is no longer a concern.

Under the hood, the NotePin S retains 64GB of storage and a 20-hour battery life, with two MEMS microphones capturing clear audio up to 9.8 feet away. Users receive 300 minutes of free monthly transcription. While the device has a slightly shorter range and lower battery than Plaud’s Note Pro, its compact design and portability make it ideal for professionals who are constantly on the move.

Plaud has now sold over 1.5 million devices, primarily focusing on in-person meetings. With the introduction of its desktop notetaker, the company aims to compete with digital meeting transcription tools like Granola, Fathom, and Fireflies. The app can detect active meetings, automatically capture transcripts, and structure them into organized notes using AI.

The desktop app also supports multimodal inputs, allowing users to integrate audio, images, and typed notes seamlessly. This functionality, first introduced in Plaud’s app last year, ensures that digital meeting notes are not only comprehensive but easy to navigate. By combining wearable and desktop AI tools, Plaud is positioning itself as a go-to solution for both in-person and remote professionals.
