The 12th edition of the Nigeria Energy Exhibition and Conference is set to return to Lagos from October 28th to 30th, 2025, with a focus on unlocking investments and driving policy reforms to strengthen the nation’s power sector. Organized by Informa Markets and endorsed by the Federal Ministry of Power, the event is themed “Powering Nigeria through Investment, Innovation, and Partnership.” It aims to gather thousands of energy professionals, decision-makers, and innovators to explore solutions to Nigeria’s long-standing electricity challenges.

At a press briefing in Lagos over the weekend, the organizers announced that this year’s agenda would emphasize mobilizing capital, implementing policy reforms, and adopting cutting-edge technologies to build a reliable and sustainable power system. More than 8,500 participants—including energy commissioners, investors, regulators, and developers—are expected to attend three days of high-level summits, technical sessions, and exhibitions that showcase new opportunities across the energy value chain.

Now in its twelfth year, the Nigeria Energy Conference has evolved into a critical platform for collaboration across power generation, transmission, distribution, renewables, and off-grid systems. With Nigeria facing a significant infrastructure gap and investment bottlenecks, the 2025 edition seeks to inspire actionable strategies around public-private partnerships, regulatory alignment, and emerging frontiers like hydrogen energy, decentralized solar, and grid digitization.

According to Ade Yesufu, Exhibition Manager for Energy Portfolio – MEA at Informa Markets, the event’s theme is timely given the country’s current power sector reforms. “Nigeria Energy 2025 will serve as a strategic platform where stakeholders can align on policies, forge partnerships, and showcase innovations that can move the sector forward,” he said. He added that the event aims to attract investments that will close infrastructure gaps and boost energy access nationwide.

The conference is supported by leading local and international players in the energy and infrastructure space, signaling a growing commitment to collaboration and sustainable progress. Featured speakers include Sadiq Wanka, Special Adviser to the President on Power Infrastructure; Biodun Ogunleye, Lagos State Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources; Edu Okeke, CEO of Azura Power; Dr. Chinnan Dikwal, Vice Chair of the African Energy Council; and Mokhtar Bounour, CEO of Egbin Power Plc. Collectively, their insights are expected to shape Nigeria’s next chapter in energy innovation and policy transformation.
