Lenovo ‘Project Pivo’ Rotating Laptop, Legion Go 2, and AI Tablets Leak Ahead of IFA 2025
Lenovo is set to make waves at IFA 2025 with a mix of innovative devices, following new leaks from renowned tech leaker Evan Blass. The leaks detail both ready-to-ship products and experimental prototypes, suggesting Lenovo is preparing one of its most ambitious line-ups in years. Industry watchers are particularly excited about a rotating laptop concept codenamed Project Pivo, which could redefine notebook versatility.
Unlike traditional laptops, Project Pivo features a display that rotates between landscape and portrait modes. The design is aimed at professionals who work with vertical content, coders, and mobile app developers. Analysts note that its practical simplicity makes it more likely to reach the consumer market compared with previous Lenovo experiments, such as the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 with a rollable screen, which saw only a brief release.
Lenovo is also expected to officially unveil the Legion Go 2, a second-generation handheld gaming device first teased at CES. According to the leaks, the device will include an AMD Ryzen 22 Extreme processor, an 8.8-inch 1600p OLED display at 144Hz, detachable controllers with improved ergonomics, and up to 2TB of storage. A 74Wh battery promises extended gaming sessions, positioning the Legion Go 2 against competitors like ASUS’s ROG Ally X and the upcoming Steam Deck.
The leaks also highlight Lenovo’s plans to expand its tablet and smartphone lineup. The Yoga Tab Plus will reportedly feature a 12.7-inch 3K OLED display with AI-powered note-taking and transcription tools. Additionally, Motorola is expected to showcase new phones and the Moto AI ecosystem, including earbuds, trackers, and connected smart devices, underscoring Lenovo’s broader push into AI-enabled consumer electronics.
Finally, the leaks suggest Lenovo is experimenting with more futuristic concepts, including a Yoga Solar PC powered partially by sunlight, a 3D-screen laptop, a vertical folding display, and even a laptop with extendable “wings.” While some of these devices may remain prototypes, they reflect Lenovo’s commitment to innovation and concept-driven design. Official confirmation is expected next week in Berlin as IFA 2025 opens.
