BudgIT Ghana Rolls Out Simplified 2025 Budget to Empower Citizens and Strengthen Accountability
BudgIT Ghana has officially launched its Simplified 2025 Budget Statement, reaffirming its commitment to promoting fiscal transparency and participatory governance. The initiative includes a stakeholder capacity-building workshop slated for July 16, 2025, at DynaSpace in Accra. Themed “Enhancing Stakeholder Capacity for Inclusive Development,” the event aims to empower civil society organisations, development partners, and media practitioners to better understand and communicate Ghana’s national budget.
The workshop will feature Oluseun Onigbinde, Global Director and Co-Founder of BudgIT Foundation, as Guest of Honour and Lead Facilitator. A respected figure in civic technology and public finance advocacy, Onigbinde will guide attendees through interactive sessions on simplifying budget data, data visualisation, and effective storytelling tailored for the general public. The training is intended to equip participants with tools to monitor public spending and convey insights in a more relatable way.
