Champion Breweries Plc in Uyo, Akwa Ibom, reported a remarkable financial performance for 2024, with a revenue of N21 billion. The company’s Managing Director, Dr. Inalegwu Adoga, expressed satisfaction with the results, highlighting a 64.5% revenue increase over the previous year. Profit after tax also surged by 121%, while shareholder equity grew by over N1 billion. Earnings per share rose from N5.10 to N9.00, showcasing the brewery’s strong financial health.
The company’s success was celebrated with a “Drink & Win” consumer engagement event at the Bae Arena in Uyo, aimed at rewarding loyal customers and bolstering the brand’s connection with the local community. Dr. Adoga emphasized the importance of maintaining dominance in the Akwa Ibom market, where Champion Breweries is seen as a leading beverage brand. He noted that the event was part of a larger initiative to enhance brand visibility, with plans for similar activations in other districts.
Champion Breweries is also focusing on sustainability with plans to transition to solar power. Dr. Adoga shared that the move towards solar energy is in line with the company’s eco-friendly values, aiming to reduce environmental pollution and promote sustainable practices. This decision will not only cut production costs but will also contribute to a greener planet for future generations
