Bernice Makafui Brempong replaces Yofi Grant as GIPC CEO

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) has announced the appointment of Dr. Bernice Makafui Brempong as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 29, 2025. She succeeds Yofi Grant, who held the position until December 30, 2024. GIPC expressed confidence in Dr. Brempong’s leadership and her ability to drive investment growth in Ghana.

Dr. Brempong is a highly accomplished professional with expertise in business development, healthcare, and strategic partnerships. She holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Ghana, a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from University College London, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Despite her background in pharmacy, Dr. Brempong has built a strong reputation as an innovative business leader. She has founded and led several successful companies in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, and commodities, playing a significant role in Ghana’s socio-economic development.

Before her appointment, she served as CEO of Makhealth Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and held executive leadership positions at Synergy Commodities Ltd. and D-Amphora Ltd. She is a strong advocate for the development of Ghana’s health economy and aims to attract health-related investments to drive sustainable economic growth.
