Italian startup Exein to supply cybersecurity for chips to MediaTek

Italian tech startup Exein has signed a deal with Taiwan’s MediaTek to provide cybersecurity systems for chips used in the Genio platform. The collaboration aims to secure billions of devices in industries such as mobile, automotive, healthcare, and home technology. This partnership is expected to have a global impact, enhancing the security of chips in various sectors.

The deal, valued at over 5 million euros, marks a significant step for Exein, which anticipates its technology will be embedded in more than 3 billion devices worldwide. Exein expects the value of the partnership to double by 2028, indicating long-term growth potential.

Exein’s growth has been supported by a $15 million Series B funding round, and the company has a diverse client base, including Daikin, Seco, and Kontron. The partnership with MediaTek is seen as a major step in expanding Exein’s presence in the automotive and robotics industries.
