FG Unveils 2025 Outlook for Economic Diversification and Prosperity

The Nigerian government, led by Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, is prioritizing economic diversification to enhance prosperity by 2025. The Ministry has launched a new chapter focused on industrialization, digitization, creative arts, and manufacturing, with an emphasis on coordinated policies with fiscal and monetary authorities. The approach aims to foster a resilient and sustainable economy by improving competitiveness and enabling businesses to capitalize on both domestic and global opportunities.

Key initiatives outlined for 2025 include accelerating industrial growth, boosting trade revenue through exports, and attracting investment. The government intends to create a conducive environment for businesses, especially for the private sector, to grow, while focusing on regulations and development policies. The Ministry also plans to revitalize industries and promote MSMEs through strategic collaborations and investments in infrastructure and power solutions.

The Minister of State, Sen. John Owan Enoh, stressed the need for bold actions, including creating industrial cities and ensuring access to modern machinery and reliable energy sources. Both ministers are committed to engaging stakeholders to achieve these ambitious goals, setting Nigeria on a path to industrial greatness and global economic prominence.
