NAHCO Appoints Olumuyiwa Olumekun as GMD/CEO Following Gupta’s Retirement

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company PLC (NAHCO) has named Mr. Olumuyiwa Olumekun as its new Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025. This appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Indranil Gupta, whose tenure concluded on December 31, 2024. The announcement was made through a notice to the Nigerian Exchange on December 27, 2024, by the company’s secretary, Mr. Bello Abdullahi.

Mr. Olumekun brings over 30 years of leadership experience across various industries, having previously served NAHCO in several strategic capacities, including as acting Managing Director and Group Executive Director, Corporate Services. During his tenure, he was instrumental in executing the company’s 2019–2023 strategic plan, which resulted in over a 300% increase in profitability. This wealth of experience positions Olumekun to steer NAHCO towards sustained growth and innovation.

Meanwhile, Qatar Executive, the luxury private jet division of Qatar Airways Group, has expanded its fleet with two additional Gulfstream G700 aircraft, bringing the total fleet size to 24. These state-of-the-art jets enhance Qatar Executive’s reputation in luxury aviation, combining groundbreaking technology with superior comfort and performance, and underscoring its commitment to redefining private travel experiences.
