The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has unveiled its newly redesigned website today, December 2, 2024. According to a statement from Sidi Ali, the acting Director of Corporate Communications, the website integrates cutting-edge Web API technology using Microsoft NET Core 8. Developed in-house, the site promises enhanced user navigation and accessibility across devices. The revamp introduces expanded content detailing the bank’s mandate and improves compatibility with mobile devices and diverse web browsers.
CBN Governor Yemi Cardoso, speaking at the 30th Nigerian Economic Summit in October, emphasized the bank’s commitment to fostering transparency and accountability. He highlighted that the upgraded website is designed to provide stakeholders with easier access to information and a more user-friendly experience. The redesign aligns with the bank’s broader goal of strengthening trust and engagement with the public.
Governor Cardoso reiterated the importance of improving information dissemination, noting that the overhaul reflects the bank’s dedication to openness. By offering comprehensive and accessible insights into its operations, the CBN aims to keep stakeholders informed and connected with its objectives and progress.
