First Bank has announced plans to migrate to a new cloud-based procurement and financial platform, aiming to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. This transition is set to commence on Saturday, October 26, and will involve temporary service disruptions, as stated in a notice issued by the bank, which serves over 42 million customers.

The migration period will last until Sunday, November 3, 2024, with the new platform going live on Monday, November 4. During this time, certain transactions and activities will be suspended to ensure a smooth and secure transition. Additionally, vendors will be unable to submit invoices through the current Electronic Business Suite, with payments being processed only for invoices submitted for received purchase orders by Friday, October 25.

As part of this upgrade, First Bank will retire its existing supplier portal after the migration, providing further information on a new Supplier Portal ahead of its launch. The bank has urged all stakeholders to take necessary precautions to minimize business disruptions and will share additional details on onboarding, training, and user guides before the end of the week
