The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced a full board of directors for Polaris Bank, signaling significant progress under the bank’s new leadership.
The 10-man board is chaired by Dr. Kassim Gidado, an accomplished academic and business leader. The newly appointed non-executive directors include experts from diverse industries such as law, banking, engineering, and finance.
The executive management team is led by Managing Director Mr. Kayode Lawal, with support from three executive directors. Industry analysts view the appointments as a positive reinforcement of the bank’s position in the post-recapitalization banking industry, citing Polaris Bank’s operational improvements and stable management as key factors in its growth.
Gidado’s extensive experience in engineering, public-private partnerships, and infrastructure development, along with the diverse expertise of the other board members, is expected to enrich Polaris Bank’s strategic initiatives and position it as a leading digital bank.
The appointments mark a new chapter in the bank’s journey towards sustainable growth, with a focus on delivering value to stakeholders and strengthening its role in the financial sector.
