The Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (CIS) has officially inaugurated its Lagos Island District Society to enhance its membership drive and foster collaboration.
The new district will serve as a hub for stockbrokers to stay updated on financial market developments, uphold professionalism, and promote investor education.
In his speech, CIS President Oluropo Dada highlighted the Lagos Island District’s significance as it houses the largest concentration of securities and investment professionals in Nigeria.
He emphasized that the district has a crucial role in advancing the institute’s growth and development.
Interim executives of the Lagos Island District Society were sworn in during the inauguration.
District Chair Otiti affirmed their commitment to supporting the institute’s objectives and growing its membership.
This initiative follows the recent establishment of the FCT Northern Zone District in Abuja, further expanding the CIS’s reach.
