Nigeria and Germany plan to surpass last year’s $500 million in energy deals by targeting even larger agreements in 2024.

The deals, including renewable energy and gas export agreements, are expected to be signed during the 11th German-Nigerian Business Forum in Lagos this October.

Germany is committed to expanding its investment in Nigeria, where over 90 German companies are already operating.

The German-Nigerian Business Forum, organized by AHK Nigeria and Afrika Verein, aims to foster partnerships between the two countries across sectors like agribusiness, renewable energy, and construction.

Discussions led by industry experts from both nations will explore opportunities for collaboration.

WACEE, a global trade fair held alongside the forum, will attract companies from around the world. The event offers reduced participation costs for Nigerian companies to encourage their involvement and facilitate investment growth in the region.
