Customs ushers in new leadership with latest appointments

As the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) bids farewell to several key management members due to statutory retirement, Comptroller General of Customs (CGC) Adewale Adeniyi has introduced a series of strategic appointments and redeployments.

These changes are aimed at maintaining excellence and operational efficiency within the Service.Key appointments include BM Jibo as the new Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) for Finance Administration and Technical Services (FATS) and OA Alajogun as Acting DCG for Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I).

Other significant appointments include IG Umar as Acting Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) at Headquarters, OA Salefu as Acting ACG for Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), BA Makinde as Acting ACG for Human Resource Development (HRD), and T Bomodi as Acting ACG for Enforcement, Inspection, and Investigation (EI&I).

These appointments reflect the officers’ proven capabilities and the NCS’s commitment to strategic leadership.

The CGC expressed gratitude to the retiring officers for their service and urged the new appointees to uphold the Service’s objectives of revenue generation, smuggling suppression, and trade facilitation.
