Olam Agri Commits N6.5bn to Sustainable Social Investment in Nigeria

Olam Agri has launched a significant expansion of its Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CR&S) strategy, committing M6.5 billion over the next four years.

This initiative aims to enhance social, environmental, and economic development in the communities where the company operates.

The focus will be on supporting farmers, improving education and skills for youth, empowering women, promoting health, and reducing carbon emissions.

The investment is part of Olam Agri’s “Seeds for the Future” program, which supports its operations in rice, wheat milling, animal feed, sesame, cotton, and edible oils.

Managing Director Anil Nair highlighted the company’s commitment to transforming lives and scaling food production in Nigeria.

Nair also sought partnership opportunities with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to boost food production and job creation.

Governor Sanwo-Olu praised Olam Agri for its leadership in agriculture and expressed support for ongoing and future contributions to the sector.
