Atlas Oranto Petroleum International Limited (AOPI) has expanded its global footprint by signing an oil prospecting agreement in Venezuela.
The deal, signed by Oranto Petroleum’s Chairman, Prince Arthur Eze, marks the company’s first venture into North and South America, with the agreement finalized in the presence of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.
Before this venture, Oranto Petroleum has been active in several African countries, including Cote d’Ivoire, Senegal, Uganda, and Mozambique. Recently, Uganda extended Oranto’s oil exploration license for the Ngassa Shallow and Deep areas for another two years.
In Equatorial Guinea, Atlas Petroleum International announced a significant oil discovery in Block P, with plans to develop the Venus field, which is expected to produce 15,000 barrels of oil per day upon completion.
Despite challenges, Atlas Petroleum remains committed to its interests in Equatorial Guinea, dismissing any claims that it has relinquished its stake in Block P.
The company continues to work closely with its partners and the government to advance its oil production projects.
