Energy stakeholders brainstorm on midstream, downstream devpt at SPE-NAICE 2024

Professionals and key players in the energy sector will gather at the SPE-NAICE 2024 event to explore advancements in the petroleum industry, specifically targeting the optimization of the midstream and downstream segments

The three-day event will take place from August 5th to 7th, 2024, at Eko Hotel, Lagos, under the theme “Petroleum Industry Value Chain Optimization: The Inevitability of Midstream and Downstream Development.”

Mr. Salahudeen Tahir, Chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Nigerian Council and event organizer, emphasized the importance of developing these sectors to enhance efficiency, ensure sustainability, and maintain competitiveness.

He highlighted the need for a comprehensive approach that leverages technological advancements and adheres to regulatory frameworks to achieve significant improvements in profitability and environmental performance.

NAICE 2024 will feature various activities, including the Young Professionals’ Workshop, the Women Leadership Programme, the Oil Industry Night & Awards Dinner, family recreation activities, and exhibitions, continuing its tradition of providing a platform for networking and professional development in the energy sector.
