Air Peace’s Chief Operating Officer, Toyin Olajide, announced that economy class tickets for flights from Lagos to London are fully booked for the next 60 days starting from July.
This comes as the airline has received positive feedback from Nigerian travelers and travel agents for beginning services to European countries three months ago.
Despite challenges, Air Peace has successfully provided a new option for Nigerians flying internationally.
Olajide highlighted that the airline’s flight on June 30, 2024, was fully booked in economy and business class.
Although an error initially prevented first-class seats from being advertised, this issue has been resolved.
Additionally, travelers from the US to the UK are using Air Peace to save on airfares. Chinese citizens in Nigeria also use Air Peace to connect to China, further reducing costs.
Air Peace’s entry into the market has increased accessibility and diversified the passenger base, benefiting students and elderly passengers.
The airline’s operations have also positively impacted Nigerian brands and small businesses, contributing to economic growth.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, announced that the government is empowering Nigerian airlines to access international routes directly. Air Peace began its Lagos-London flight services on March 20, 2024.
