MTN Nigeria is building the largest data center in West Africa, a signficant development for the country’s digital landscape. This 1,500-rack, Tier 4 facility will offer ultra-reliable data storage with near-perfect uptime.
The data center will benefit both MTN and businesses across Nigeria. MTN will gain improved infrastructure support, while businesses can leverage the facility to ditch their own server rooms and embrace digitalization.
Additionally, the center will host data from major tech companies like Google and Meta, bringing content closer to Nigerian users and boosting internet speeds.
MTN is also committed to using the data center to empower startups and small businesses by offering collaboration opportunities, particularly in cloud services.
This project aligns with MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy, which emphasizes Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
