Access Bank has opened registration for the sixth season of its Womenpreneur Pitch-A-Ton programme, aiming to inspire, connect, and empower women. Since 2019, the programme has produced 645 mini-MBA winners across Nigeria and 10 other African countries, with 65 grant winners and 40 consolation prize winners.
At a media parley in Lagos, Abiodun Olubitan, Group Head of Women Banking at Access Bank, announced that 120 finalists will receive free business coaching and a mini-MBA certified by the International Finance Corporation.
In addition, N17.5 million in business grants will be awarded to 10 winners, and 20 other women will receive consolation prizes such as free website development and promotional materials. The finalists will receive business coaching and close monitoring from certified consultants for six months. Registration is open until August 9, 2024.
Olubitan emphasized that non-shortlisted businesses will be included in Access Bank’s Womenpreneur community database. She highlighted the programme’s significant impact, noting that it has exposed participating businesses to new and international markets.
