Dangiwa Elected Chair of African Ministers’ Housing Financial Caucus

Ahmed Dangiwa, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, has been elected as the first chairman of the Financial Caucus of African Ministers of Housing and Urban Development. The election took place during Shelter Afrique Development Bank’s 43rd Annual General Meeting in Kigali, Rwanda.

Dangiwa emphasized the caucus’s potential to drive collective action and progress in inclusive and sustainable housing development across Africa. He highlighted the importance of collaboration among African ministers to enhance housing policies, strategies, and investments in affordable housing.

Shelter Afrique Development Bank, a pan-African housing finance institution, includes shareholders from 44 African governments, the African Development Bank, and the African Reinsurance Corporation.
