Customs Board Confirms Appointment Of 5 DCGs, 8 ACGs

The Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) has announced the appointment of five Deputy Comptrollers-General (DCGs) and eight Assistant Comptrollers-General (ACGs) during its 59th regular meeting. The announcement was made by the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, at the Nigeria Customs Service Headquarters in Abuja. These appointments are aimed at filling the vacancies left by the recent retirement of senior officers.

The new DCGs are OO Peters (Commander Training and Doctrine Command, retired), BM Jibo (Enforcement, Inspection & Investigation), BU Nwafor (Excise, Free Trade Zone & Industrial Incentives), SA Bomai (Commander Training and Doctrine Command), and CK Niagwan (Tariff & Trade). The appointed ACGs include B Imam (Board), AAS Oloyede (Trade & Tariff), SK Dangaladima (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘B’), A Abdul Azeez (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘D’), SA Yusuf (Human Resource Development), NP Umoh (Training and Doctrine Command), CO Obih (Zonal Coordinator Zone ‘C’), and S Chiroma (Strategic Research and Policy).

Customs spokesman Abdullahi Maiwada stated that these appointments aim to strengthen the service’s capacity in revenue generation, smuggling suppression, and trade facilitation. The Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, congratulated the newly appointed officers and urged them to enhance their efforts to achieve the service’s goals.
