Nigerian National Petroleum Company Exploration and Production Limited (NNPCL) and Natural Oilfield Services Limited (NOSL) have announced the commencement of oil production at Oil Mining Lease 13 in Akwa Ibom State. The production, starting with 6,000 barrels per day on May 6, 2024, is expected to increase to 40,000 barrels per day by May 27, 2024, through collaboration between NNPCL and NOSL.
According to spokesperson Olufemi Soneye, this milestone signifies a historic achievement and a new era of economic empowerment and development opportunities for the host communities.
