The International Criminal Police Organization for Africa (INTERPOL Africa) has finalized the extradition papers for Nadeem Anjarwalla, a Binance executive who fled detention in Nigeria. Garba Umar, INTERPOL Africa’s Vice President, disclosed this development to Nigerian media outlet.
Anjarwalla, who is wanted by Nigerian authorities, was last seen in Kenya after fleeing Nigeria. INTERPOL has collaborated with various governments to expedite the extradition process, although Anjarwalla’s current location remains undisclosed. Despite holding a British passport, Anjarwalla reportedly left Nigeria using a Middle Eastern airline.
Meanwhile, another Binance executive, Gambaryan, remains detained in Nigeria and has pleaded not guilty to charges. Efforts to secure Gambaryan’s release have seen his wife and supporters launch a petition gathering over 4,161 signatures to bring him back to the United States.
