NAISU set to kick off, focused on reviving economy

The inaugural Nigeria Auto Industry Summit (NAISU), organized by the Nigeria Auto Journalists Association (NAJA) in collaboration with the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), is poised to commence at Radisson Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday, June 27, 2024. The summit aims to become an annual flagship event in the automotive sector, gathering stakeholders to explore the sector’s potential for national development.

Under the theme “Reviving Nigeria’s Economy Through the Automotive Sector”, the maiden edition of NAISU will be inaugurated by Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Minister of Industries, Trade and Investment, with Mr. Joseph Osannipin, Director General of NADDC, serving as the Chief Host. The event will also feature a delegation from the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM) from South Africa, and the Nigeria Association of Automotive Manufacturers (NAMA), along with key industry players from Nigeria.

Femi Owoeye, chairman of the organizing committee of NAISU, highlighted the summit’s significance in the current economic climate, emphasizing its role in guiding Nigeria towards economic recovery amidst global challenges. The summit is anticipated to provide a platform for discussions, insights, and collaborations to leverage the automotive sector for the nation’s socio-economic growth and resilience.
