The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Kyari, has vowed to escalate the supply of Nigeria’s gas to both local and international markets, with the aim of stabilizing the naira.

During his visit to President Bola Tinubu in Lagos, where the latter is observing the Eid-el-Fitr holidays, Kyari reaffirmed the commitment of NNPC to President Tinubu’s focus on delivering gas into various markets. He expressed confidence that this strategy aligns with the government’s agenda to rejuvenate the nation’s economy.

Amid the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) efforts, which have led to a rebound in the value of the naira against the dollar, Kyari highlighted NNPC’s intention to capitalize on favorable international market prices of its commodities. He assured that tangible outcomes would emerge in the coming weeks as NNPC strives to fulfill its pledge and contribute to strengthening the naira further.
