The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Dangiwa, has announced that the Federal Government has allocated 675 hectares of land for the Diaspora City project in the Federal Capital Territory.
The project, located at Maitama 2, aims to provide an enabling environment for Nigerians living abroad to participate in the country’s housing market and secure homeownership.
During a meeting with the African Descendants in Diaspora Union, led by Dr. Abraham Onwubuya, Dangiwa assured Nigerians in the diaspora of the government’s commitment to creating frameworks for secured homeownership. The Diaspora City project will feature various housing options, including bungalows, semi-detached duplexes, and mansions, reflecting its inclusive nature.
The African Descendants in Diaspora Union serves as a platform for fostering unity, solidarity, and empowerment among people of African descent living abroad.
