Access bank launches offline banking platform

Access Bank Plc has introduced an offline banking platform called 901.ng to provide customers with an additional channel for conducting transactions and enhancing financial inclusion in Nigeria.

The initiative comes as financial inclusion in the country rose to 74% in 2023, up from 68% in 2020, with the Central Bank of Nigeria aiming to reach 95% by 2024.

Developed in collaboration with RemitPlus, a proponent of offline banking in Nigeria, the launch event held in Lagos showcased Access Bank’s commitment to redefining convenience and security in banking.

The Deputy Managing Director, Victor Etuokwu, emphasized the importance of addressing challenges related to internet connectivity, especially in remote areas or locations with poor infrastructure.
