Oracle has implemented a targeted approach to leveraging AI in its business applications, identifying approximately 50 specific tasks where the AI system has been tailored to handle various functions. These tasks range from drafting product descriptions based on inventory data to summarizing complex price negotiations with suppliers.

Steve Miranda, Oracle’s executive vice president of applications development, emphasized the controlled nature of this approach, aiming to mitigate common pitfalls associated with AI technology, such as inaccuracies. By incorporating human validation into the workflow, Oracle seeks to balance productivity gains with accuracy and reliability.

Miranda highlighted the company’s ability to swiftly bring these AI-driven features to market, underscoring the importance of soliciting feedback from users.
