The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) comprising governors from all thirty-six states has pledged to tackle the challenges of food crisis, economic hardship, and hunger in the nation. They have introduced various strategies and measures to address these pressing issues.
In a recent report released by the NGF’s Acting Head of Media, Halimah Salihu Ahmed, the governors emphasized their proactive stance in mitigating the current food crisis and economic difficulties.The NGF highlighted that they have already initiated several proactive steps to alleviate the effects of the ongoing food crisis and economic hardships faced by Nigerians.
The governors reiterated their commitment to ending the suffering experienced by citizens across the country. This commitment comes in the wake of discussions between President Bola Tinubu and the state governors in February, during which the surge in food prices, economic challenges, and related issues were thoroughly deliberated upon with the aim of finding viable solutions.
