President Bola Ahmed Tinubu criticized the recent Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) protest, cautioning the labor movement against assuming it represents the sole voice of the people.
Speaking at the commissioning of the Lagos Red Line Train, Tinubu emphasized that while the NLC has rights, it cannot challenge a nine-month-old administration.Tinubu reiterated his commitment to reforms despite opposition from what he termed ‘smugglers’, emphasizing that corruption must be eradicated.
He highlighted the government’s resolve to combat corruption, indicating a firm stance against any resistance to reform initiatives.The remarks come in response to the NLC’s protest over prevailing hardships and unmet agreements with the federal government.
