The Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Mr. Dasuki Arabi, has provided assurance that retirees will reap the benefits of ongoing pension reforms.
Speaking at a stakeholders’ workshop in Abuja focused on evaluating the implementation of pension reforms in Nigeria, Arabi expressed his commitment to ensuring the effective execution of these reforms for the welfare of beneficiaries.
Arabi acknowledged persistent challenges despite the reforms, including non-compliance by some state governments, delays in pension benefits payment, bureaucratic hurdles, and unreliable records.
He affirmed the BPSR’s dedication to addressing these issues, emphasizing that every individual working in either the public or private sector in Nigeria should receive their retirement benefits.
