The NGX Regulation Limited, IFRS Foundation, and Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria have reaffirmed their dedication to promoting sustainability reporting initiatives among listed companies. This commitment was reiterated at the NGX Issuers Engagement Forum held at The NGX Group House in Lagos.
Tinuade Awe, the Chief Executive Officer of NGX Regulation Limited, highlighted the organization’s active involvement in sustainability since 2010. Awe emphasized the importance of preparing listed companies for the unfolding future by providing support and guidance in navigating sustainability reporting requirements.
Dr. Rabiu Olowo, the Executive Secretary of FRC Nigeria, expressed satisfaction with the ongoing engagement with listed companies, noting its positive impact on investor confidence. He highted the significance of these engagements in demonstrating a collective commitment to sustainability while fostering a resilient and sustainable economy.
