This development follows MultiChoice’s recent statement that it will not broadcast live matches of the upcoming AFCON on SuperSport.
StarTimes, revealing the price hike on its X (formerly Twitter) handle, stated that the increase, effective from January 10, is aimed at maintaining the quality of its content for subscribers.
Many football enthusiasts, anticipating live AFCON games on StarTimes, are now frustrated by the unexpected subscription price increase, coming only four months after a previous adjustment.
