The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has strongly criticized the armed invasion of Dangote Industries Limited by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in connection to the ongoing investigation of forex allocation to 52 firms.

In a statement signed by MAN’s Director-General, Segun Ajayi-Kadir, the association expressed shock at the invasion, emphasizing that while it supports due investigations, such inquiries should be conducted appropriately without resorting to what it described as “sheer brigandage.”

The statement highlighted that the EFCC’s ongoing investigation into forex allocations is understood by MAN, but it stressed the need for such actions to be carried out with professionalism and without resorting to a ‘Gestapo’ style of invasion

MAN raised concerns about the potential damage to the corporate image and business operations of Dangote Industries Limited, emphasizing that armed resistance was unlikely, making the invasion unnecessary.
