During the New Year address delivered by the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he identified six socio-economic challenges in Nigeria, reassuring the public of his commitment to resolving them.
He added: “I am not oblivious to the expressed and sometimes unexpressed frustrations of my fellow citizens. I know for a fact that some of our compatriots are even asking if this is how our administration wants to renew their hope.”
However, he assured Nigerians that Issues of insecurity, hardship, food insecurity, lack of electricity, disfunctionality of local refineries and heavy taxation will be looked-into in this new year.
He also encouraged Nigeria’s to embrace the spirit of hope and patriotism: “we are made for this period. The socio-economic challenges of today should energize and rekindle our love and faith in the promise of Nigeria. Our current circumstances should make us resolve to work better for the good of our beloved nation.”
