Convergence Partners Investments has changed its name to Solcon Capital as the company intensified efforts to promote platform economics-based global deep tech growth.
Solcon will concentrate on international deep tech investments in South Africa, India, and Southeast Asia in Synthetic Data & Big Data, Cybersecurity, and Quantum Computing under the new brand, exploiting scale through platform economics.
For its 20th anniversary festivities in October, Solcon will debut Solcon 360, its flagship AI-based investment management tool. In conjunction with the rebranding, Solcon also disclosed Pramod Venkatesh’s appointment as CEO, effective August 1, 2023. He will lead the company’s international expansion.
Solcon Capital will be acknowledged as one of the players in this new phase. As a Deep-Tech Investor along with rich two-decade-long history in Africa, Solcon Capital has been a fundamental driving force behind the radical transformation of the Continent’s tech ecosystem.
