Lolu Alade-Akinyemi has been named the new CEO of Lafarge Africa, who will lead the organization’s expansion strategies.

The company revealed in a statement that after its board of directors accepted the resignation of the former CEO, Khaled El-Dokani, in an emergency meeting, Alade-Akinyemi was named managing director.

El-Dokani resigned, but the business did not specify why; instead, it said that after his time as CEO was up, he will become a non-executive director for Lafarge Africa. On July 1, El-Dokani would be replaced by Alade-Akinyemi, who had worked as a finance officer at the massive FMCG company PZ Cussons Nigeria.

Since April 2020, he has been a member of Lafarge Africa’s top management, first as an executive director and then occupying that position jointly with another individual.
