The Niger Delta Development Commission has praised the House of Representatives for clearing the commission’s N876 billion budget for the fiscal year 2023.
The adoption of the budget, according to the NDDC CEO, was a key milestone in the development of the Niger Delta area. He stated that the budget would allow the NDDC to continue providing crucial infrastructure and services to the region’s residents.
“Ogbuku expressed delight that the House also approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request to extend the capital component of the 2022 budget’s implementation period by six months, from June to December 2023.”
The NDDC boss stated that the NDDC will ensure that the money allocated in the budget were spent wisely and in accordance with the law to ensure the projects were completed on time and to the highest standard.
