Senator Hadi Sirika, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace, launched the first phase of the N2.2 billion General Aviation Terminal extension on Monday.
Sirika emphasized during the inauguration that the project was started to solve the terminal’s long-standing dilemma of low capacity. The minister praised the contractor for completing the first phase of the project on time, which began early last year.
He expressed optimism that the facility will improve passenger convenience at the terminal and help the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria generate more income.
The expanded terminal features brand-new protocol lounges, airline office spaces, VIP lounges, and modern comforts geared at improving passenger safety, security, and pleasure.
