Aviation stakeholders have demanded that the requirement that 40% of aviation agencies’ earnings be paid into the federation account be reviewed. This was said in a statement made during the second Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria Conference, which was held in Abuja.

In light of this, FAAN shouldn’t contribute any portion of its earnings to the federation account. Remember that the Federal Government raised the required contribution to the federation account made by its revenue-generating agencies from 25% to 40% in October 2022.

However, the conference attendees noted basic problems impeding the aviation industry’s sustainable development, including debt, funding, and the environment, among others.

Punch.
