A Memorandum of Understanding between the Lagos State Government and eTransact has been struck in order to control uncontrolled development, manage setbacks and open areas, and enhance the state’s environmental beautification.

In order to control informal business players using setbacks and incidental open spaces in the state and increase internally generated revenue, the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development and eTransact will implement an integrated technology solution for data collection, management, and digitisation of revenue collection processes from these parties.

Babatunde, speaking at the signing, described the effort as a public-private cooperation that will aid in environmental preservation. The MoU, he continued, was for accountability.
