Diana Chen, the chairman of CIG Motors Co Limited, stated that insecurity and an unstable electrical supply were two challenges impeding the efficient running of auto assembly factories in Nigeria.

Chen spoke at the introduction of the new GS8 premium SUV and the formal opening of the Guangzhou Automotive Group Motor Abuja G-Style store in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

In order for Nigeria to realize its potential for growth in the auto industry, he encouraged the new administration to address insecurity.

Chen additionally encouraged the Federal Government to create measures that would motivate Nigerians to buy brand-new automobiles rather than relying on imported, reasonably used ones. Chen also reaffirmed GAC’s commitment to assisting Nigeria’s national football teams and the creative sector.
