Mr. Mitchell Elegbe, the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Interswitch Ltd, was recognized on Friday as the overall winner in the West African region of the 2023 Ernst &Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in the Master Entrepreneur Category.
According to a release, Ugodre Obi-Chukwu, the founder and chief analyst of Nairametrics Financial Advocate Ltd, defeated the other contenders to win the Emerging Category Entrepreneur award.
The awards were established to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of exceptional and spectacular entrepreneurs in the West African area, according to a statement from Ernst & Young, the organization that organized the ceremony.
Elegbe will compete for the international title at the EY Global Entrepreneur of The Year competition after winning the Master Entrepreneur category, it was revealed.
