Lagos State’s burned-out Akere Motor Parts and Associated Market’s vendors have received a N100 million donation from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos.
As he visited the burned-out area , Mr. Sanwo-Olu also set the cornerstone for a new market that would be a two-story structure.
A fire destroyed commodities and buildings worth millions of naira on Wednesday at the Akere Auto Spare Parts Market in Olodi Apapa, Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area of the state.
The governor paid a visit to the place of the tragedy and promised to help the traders make up for their loss.
According to Mr. Sanwo-Olu, the payout served as evidence that his administration was not racially or religiously prejudiced.
