Sahara Group seeks partnerships for the expansion of the oil industry in Africa, According to Wale Ajibade, Executive Director of Sahara Group, Africa needed enabling energy laws, efficient regulatory frameworks, investments, and partnerships to address the continent’s energy needs.
At the recent 2023 African Refiners and Distributors Association Week in Cape Town, top energy executives, regulators, and government officials were addressed. Ajibade claimed that the level of global investments in renewable energy was insufficient to allow Africa to embrace more alternative energy sources.
In order to meet the concerns of international investors and reduce investment risk exposures, according to Ajibade, who presented a paper titled “Meeting Africa’s Rising Energy Needs in the Changing Global Environment,” proper rules are essential for African countries.
