Virgin Atlantic joins Sky Team Alliance.

Virgin Atlantic has joined SkyTeam Alliance, becoming the group’s first and only airline from the United Kingdom.

Delta Air Lines and Air France-KLM, who are also SkyTeam members, and Virgin Atlantic are founding members in a joint venture.

Virgin Atlantic said in a statement that it has officially joined the international airline alliance SkyTeam during a signing ceremony on Thursday in London. It was mentioned that the SkyTeam Alliance’s transatlantic network and services to and from Manchester and Heathrow airports will improve with the airlines’ participation.

Members of the Flying Club will also be able to use their earned points on airlines that are part of the SkyTeam alliance. Moreover, it revealed that the airline’s Flying Club members would get access to a variety of advantages that would improve their travels within the SkyTeam network.
