The World Economic Forum, or WEF, estimates that it will take more than 100 years to close the gender gap worldwide.

Worrisomely, Nigeria placed 123rd out of 145 nations in the WEF’s 2022 Global Gender Index. These shocking numbers should serve as a wake-up call for all governments and businesses to speed up efforts to close the growing gender gap.

The “50 Most Important Women in Nigerian Capital Markets” rating by Bourseladies will be unveiled in honor of the 2023 International Women’s Day.

Bourseladies co-founder and editor Olamide Okewumi commented, saying: “Bourseladies is more than a magazine; it’s purposefully created as a movement.
